Sitting on historic Esplanade Avenue on the edge of the French Quarter, the Melrose Mansion is the perfect setting for your New Orleans wedding. Our newly renovated luxury hotel is ideal for intimate weddings to be held poolside, inside the beautifully decorated Victorian mansion or amove the paved grounds of the Executive Suite building.
Our front indoor parlor can comfortably accommodate up to 55 chairs for a ceremony while the poolside area can accommodate up to 65 chairs. The large paved grounds alongside the Executive Suite building can host an outdoor wedding with seating for up to 80 people. Each space has the ability to transition into a reception venue, perfectly timed for the return of your second line down Esplanade Avenue!
Elopements and smaller wedding parties of less than thrity guests have a variety of options for ceremony spaces throughout the property. A full rental of the property is not necessary for weddings of this size, yet the spaces used will not be private.
For larger weddings and/or receptions, a complete property rental, including all 21 suites, is required. This provides you with the utmost privacy and utilization of all public spaces throughout the mansion for your wedding day.
The parlor in the front of the house features beautiful floor to ceiling windows overlooking the famous Esplanade Avenue as well as our porch leading out to our poolside courtyard area. A black granite fireplace compliments both the dark hardwood floors and white walls and their original crown molding. Walk onto our poolside porch and take in the grey-blue slate stones, hand-painted Italian marble pool surround, copper fountains, and tailored greenery. As the evening approaches, one can only imagine the spectacular view of the white house with the pool lights reflecting off of the crystal blue waters.

Please note that buyout pricing is custom created for each event and that these rates vary, depending on the time of year. Catering, bar, entertainment and rentals are not included; we are happy to work with your licensed and insured vendors of choice or provide you with a list of recommended partners.
Deposit & Payment Policy: 50% of the estimated total is due upon contract signing. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the event. All food and beverage & rentals are subject to a 10.75% sales tax.

Bridal Prep: The Melrose Mansion's Executive Suite building boasts four apartment-style suites which have proven to be a bridal party's dream prep space. These suites feature floor length windows, ample living rooms, full kitchens, king-sized bedrooms and Jacuzzi bathrooms.
Rehearsal Dinner: Create the perfect initimate setting to gather your closest family and friends the night before your big day! Seated dinners may be arranged in the front parlor to accomodate 30 guests and in the outdoor paved grounds for up to 80 guests. Buffet stations or passed hor d'oeuvres with limited seating throughout the property is also available for 80 guests.
Welcome Reception: Enhance the initial excitement of your wedding weekend by hosting a welcome reception for your guests! Heavy hors d'oeuvres and spirits at the Mansions are a perfect way to host your group while removing the hassle of tranitioning to an alternate venue.
Farewell Brunch: Create the optimal setting to reconnect with your closest family and friends after your big day and before guests depart for home! Host your brunch in our indoor parlor, seating up to 30 guests, or in our paved grounds, seating up to 80 guests.

The Melrose Mansion is the ideal luxury venue to host a myriad of intimate social gatherings! Guests have enjoyed cocktail receptions, pool parties, corporate events and birthday parties at our fully restored Victorian mansion.
Special consideration is made for all potential events due to the close proximity of public spaces to our 21 guest rooms and suites.
The comfortable capacity for flowing events using the parlor, poolside spaces and media room is approximately 30 to 80 guests. The absolute maximum of 120 guests would need to incorporate the paved grounds surrounding the Executive Suite Building. Events of over 30 guests will require a full rental of the property.
